Mad Women

My good friend Kathleen decided to do a Mad Men inspired photo shoot. I came across her pictures on Facebook and knew I had to post them here!

Kathleen is the brunette and her other friend Sammy is the blonde. I'm not exactly sure why they did these, but obviously the pictures are AWESOME. See for yourselves below.

Obsessed with the picture above - the little gloves, fur stole, brooch, and cigarette are too perfect. I want to dress like this.

Thank you Kathleen for sharing your beautiful photos!

Spring 2010, Part 6

[Below] Yigal Azrouël's modern, simple white gown

[Below] Silky cocktail dress from Giorgio Armani - I loved that his collection used primarily cool colors.

[Below] Victoria Beckham's line continues to impress. The garments are angular, yet feminine.

Damn, Girl

This is probably the only time I'll use the term "fierce" to describe anything, but take a look at this photo and you'll see why it's fitting.

Spring 2010, Part 5

[Below] United Bamboo designers Miho Aoki and Thuy Pham. I'm not sure if they are wearing their own designs, but I love his outfit! It's the perfect combination of patterns and colors. I like when guys look a little quirky and nerdy, but stay within the classic cuts and styles for men.

[Below] Very cool little printed dress by Karen Walker

[Below] I am amazed that this Cushnie et Ochs top can even stay up. I'd be very interested to find out what the construction is like.

[Below] Great ensemble from Rag & Bone. Yellow and grey are a fabulous color combination.

Spring 2010, Part 4

[Below] Tiered and airy dress from Halston

[Below] I love femininity and originality of this suit by Douglas Hannat. The ruffles are gorgeous as is the eyelet shell underneath the jacket.

[2 Below] Bibhu Mohapatra created some amazing dresses for his collection. I'm always impressed when a designer can take a class silhouette and make it completely different and artistic.

I cannot stop looking at this white, yellow, and blue gown. It is just stunning.

Spring 2010, Part 2

[Below] I would definitely wear this outfit from Organic by John Patrick. From the striped shirt to the white ballet flats, it's pretty much perfect as far as casual wear goes.

[Below] Not even sure if this is a belted dress or a sheer trench over a dress, but I like it.

[Below] As casual and simple as this L.A.M.B. outfit is, something about it caught my eye. I'm really into tights and I like the argyle-ish pattern on this pair.

[Below] Silky, sexy dress by Elie Tahari. Great use of color and draping.

Spring 2010, Part 1

[Below] Electric blue backless gown by Prabal Gurung - notice the little bow at the rear.

[Below] Monique Lhuillier has never disappointed me in the past and this year was no exception. Her elegant, draped gowns are incredible.

I particularly love this shade of deep blue and the interesting shoulder detail. Look how beautifully the column style skirt hangs.

I'm always a fan of anything that has sheer black fabric. This dress is so timeless and simple, but still so striking.
