Spring Cleaning

I found a bunch of photos on my computer from recent seasons and couldn't believe I had forgotten to post them. They're old news by now, but I use my blog as a digital archive for pictures that I want to save. Looks like it's time for some spring cleaning.

The photos below are from the spring 2011 collections.

Fall 2009, Part 9

Finally, my last post about the Fall 2009 runways!

2 Below: Cocktail dresses from Requiem.

This is one of the most interesting dresses I've seen. The structured, tailored bodice and the free form ruffles on the skirt create a perfect balance.

This two-tier trapeze dress is beautifully simple. The fabric looks like it has some weight to it, which I like.

2 Below: Adorable and wacky layered skirts with a great color palette from Louis Vuitton.

5 Below: The Fall 2009 Nina Ricci line was incredible. Olivier Theyskens is a true master of fashion, as he has shown through his work for Nina Ricci, Rochas, and his own eponymous label.

The structure of these gowns defies gravity. The process behind creating them must be painstaking.

The sheer fabric of the skirt on the dress below combined with the horizontal stripes resembles a crinoline slip.
